The replacement draw bar puts the coupling box at the correct position for NEM standards, which allows for the use of any NEM coupler. The smooth movement allows the carriages to pass easily through Hornby radius one reverse curves.

These end plates, complete with the weather cover, give the correct scale profile to the existing corridor connections on proprietary and kit built coaches. The delicately sprung floating movement will fill any gap between coaches when used with the Close Coupling System. Types A and B fits directly to Hornby Pullmans. Types C and D fit directly to Hornby & Lima Mk Is. Type E are also the correct pattern for Mk IV carriages and can be adapted for use with BR Mk III carriages, some Sprinter units and original Hornby LMS and GWR carriages, but not the ex Airfix/Dapol or Bachmann LMS and GWR stock which have the correct profile corridor connections, floating end plates for these will be available later.

Functioning Buck Eye coupler. These are not auto couplers but function by slotting one inside the other similar to the coupling bars supplied with the Close Coupling System and designed as a replacement for them.

The Close Coupling System is designed to fit ANY 00 gauge British outline carriages. The system is intended for coupling fixed rakes of carriages buffer to buffer and still go round Hornby track. Your choice of couplings go at the ends of the train to couple up to the locomotive. The system will also fit some long wheel base wagons, and some European and American stock.
